If it gets too cold in the attic because the pilot light blew out when gas service was interrupted, you can have it turn on a space heater. You can even use the Thermostat Controlled Outlet with a strobe light to create a "Freeze Warning" system that can be seen by neighboring homes or buildings. Light will turn on if temperature drops below 35 degrees F. Warning: All Thermostat Controlled Outlets should be protected from direct exposure to the elements with a Weather-Proof Outlet box, or by being plugged into an otherwise protected outlet. A GFCI protected outlet is strongly recommended.
